How Infrared Finance Works
At its core, Infrared Finance leverages Berachain's unique Proof of Liquidity consensus mechanism. When users provide liquidity through Infrared Finance vaults, they receive vault tokens representing their share. These tokens are then automatically staked in BGT gauges, earning BGT emissions that Infrared Finance converts into iBGT for distribution back to depositors.
The protocol's flywheel effect means that as more liquidity flows into Infrared Finance vaults, more BGT emissions are captured, which increases rewards, which attracts more liquidity. This self-reinforcing cycle positions Infrared Finance as the natural aggregator of Berachain's PoL incentives.
Infrared Finance also uses a sophisticated gauge weight optimization system, continuously analyzing and adjusting allocations across all supported protocols to maximize yield for depositors. The Auction mechanism allows external protocols to bid for gauge weight, adding an additional revenue stream that benefits iBGT holders.
